I turn away.
In the citadel of glass
Obsidian Towers of light,
Shimmering monoliths
Against the red horizon,
Distant silhouettes
Piercing the burning glow.
I turn away.
Alone
In the swarm
Hollow faces a blur,
Glimpses of desolation
Cracked façade,
bleeding decay.
I turn away.
Swept through streets
Black amber mist,
Lost in white noise
I slowly sink into the bright earth,
Drifting through old, dead, air.
The night has gone.
I turn away.
Hidden.
In the sterile glare
I stand beneath the world
to stop the rot.
From the void, roaring
In flares of lightning
I turn away.
